Romney goes bold..picks Ryan

14 years ago I saw Paul Ryan for the first time on Cspan. He was being interviewed with the group of new freshmen Congressmen. His life story truly interested me...I wasn't bored. He won in a Democratic district in Wisconsin..for fun as a teenager he balanced federal budgets and reformed them. Yeah, a numbers nerd with an "every man" appeal. The Republicans quickly recognized his talents and rewarded him, bypassing several men with more senority and made him Chairman of the Budget Committee. To tell you the truth, I thought "POTUS" then, but VP will do...for now?

That said, Romney has gone rogue picking the guy that Obama ads depict as "pushing grandma off the cliff." Ryan definitely changes the game. Atlast the important issues of jobs, budget, debt, spending and restraint of the growth of government will monopolize the campaign. The Obama team will be forced to do a lot of re-writes for the teleprompter..petty mud slinging isn't going to cut it with two serious guys on R-side.

Jamming With Romney

Romney swept 5 States in the Tuesday night Primary and celebrated the triumph with a speech that opened his general election campaign against President Obama.

In the meantime, Obama was performing on the Jimmy Fallon show in an effort to upstage his opponents big night. It was cheesy and very unpresidential compared to Romney's inspiring speech.

The Republican National Committee is out with its first explicitly pro-Mitt Romney web ad, which mocks President Obama for "slow jamming" Tuesday on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon."

The video, entitled "A Tale of Two Leaders," intermingles clips of Obama's appearance on the show, in which Fallon calls Obama the "Preezy of the United Steezy" as the president stands in the background, with cuts from Romney's general election kick-off speech the same day.

While the RNC declined to endorse a candidate during the Republican primary, the organization is now poised to coordinate with the Romney campaign on advertising and fundraising.

I was impressed with the speed and cleverness that the RNC answered Obama's jab..if R-candidate is to defeat the Campaigner in Chief, all Republicans will have to rally around R-man.

The Generic Republican

As Obama's approval ratings slump to the all time low of 43%, it becomes crystal clear that the 2012 race to the WH is the Republican Party's to lose.

Although polls show that a generic republican would defeat the incumbent President easily, Republican primary candidates seem unable to rally voters behind any one of them.

Conservative voters continue to search for anyone but Romney; they're now forced to accept the inevitable, i.e, Romney is electable nationally..which IS, or should be..R-goal. For years in bipartisan circles we've heard that the win is in the center...well, approval of Obama has dropped steadily among Independents. This month it's plummeted by 10pts to 30%.

Consider this: Mitt Romney draws more votes from various constituencies than any other contender. Finally, with all his perceived faults by hard core Conservatives..Romney IS the Generic Republican... the one & only that can trounce Barack Obama in 2012...like it or not?

The Silent Majority

The Tea Party = the Right Wing; Occupy Wall Street = the Left Wing.

http://www.time.com/time/video/player/0,32068,628821312001_2024475,00.html

If it bleeds it leads..and so the Media, as usual, covers the noise, plays up the divide, making it appear that the whole country is marching in the streets against capitalism and the "rich" OR opposing taxing millionaires, demanding cuts in government spending at the cost of providing services that matter to us all. What we have is gridlock in DC and millions of disaffected people in the middle of two competing fringe groups.

To their dismay, Obama is playing both sides against the middle making the hostility against him worse. The Tea Party is stubbornly insisting that their candidate be ideologically in sinc with every facet of their agenda; and the Democrats align themselves with the Wall Street rioteers who claim to portray 99% of Americans... a vast exaggeration that fails to acknowledge the silent majority.

So which candidate benefits from this tangle of fringe elements of both parties? Surely not Obama, his governing style has been uneffective and partisan. His campaign rhetoric places him above it all, on the wrong track; not a good place to be in an election year. Has the fed-up middle of the pack chosen a candidate, yet?

Who knows? the Media certainly isn't projecting positive coverage on a huge part of the electorate that's definitely looking for an alternative to Obama. So we're on our own...perhaps Romney's reserved confidence and low key style is just what the doctor ordered..but we won't hear a peep about it until we shut out the noise and listen to the quiet folk who will elect the next President of the US of A.

Leadership Deficit

Polls show that the American people are losing confidence in the competence of President Obama. As a result of a trifecta of doom Obama's approval rating has slid downward to 42%. Could be a blip on the radar? OR, the widespread realization that a one term Senator, a community organizer from Chicago and a maddeningly cerebral intellectual...is unable to set political maneuvers, empty rhetoric and superficial optics aside and respect the views of the American people that dare to be contrary to his own.

(SlickOnShore)
Obama's Press Conference bombed because the perception that he's "in charge" or that Government agencies will curtail the bureaucracy that stymies local peoples' efforts to clean-up the mess themselves is simply not apparent. Today Obama flew to the Gulf so as not to waste the crisis. He doesn't connect with the men and women who live on the Gulf and derive their livelihoods from the bounty of fish filled waters and beautiful beaches that lure tourists' and thier money to the region. What's clear is Obama doesn't feel anyones pain but his own.

(Yes We Can!!)
Truth is: No President could plug the deep water oil leak without the right government experience, resouces and know-how...sooo, BP is clearly in charge of that part of the disaster, NOT ('0'). However, as thousands of gallons of Oil floats towards the shoreline, destroying the fishing business at peak season, dirtying the beaches and polluting wetlands that serve as breeding grounds for many species of birds and animals, the people devasted by this Oil Spill should be mobilized to mitigate the damage to their own beloved environment without having their spirits dampened by government interference and red tape delays.

Working hard to make things better at home is a therapeutic tonic that's good for what ails ya...but apparently, Obama is clueless to Americans' Can DO DNA...instead, he reflexively relies on inept, unfeeling BIG government agencies that merely get in the way; and, worse...insists that worried, disappointed citizens do the same. Trust him, trust his beloved Government?

(The Mouth that Roared)
James Carville, a Louisiana resident and a prominent Hard Ball Democrat, nailed Obama's response to the BP Spill this way: "We're dying down here!!"..Ofcourse the WH criticized Carville for not blindly supporting his Party's President. After today's visit to the Big Easy when Obama tried to feign compassion..."I promise we will not abandon you." The *ragin cagin* was not taken in by the smoothe talker's calculated rhetoric, afterall, he said.. "they're just words" Words, by the way, that Carville said yesterday ...ACTION is what counts and what people on the Gulf are expecting...SOON.

(Who's Your Daddy?)
If you believe this happened..Melia interrupted her dad while shaving and asked: "Did you stop the leak yet, dad?" You can just hear Bill Clinton advising the President to show some emotion, personalize it..use your daughter to satisfy the prying, relentless Right Wing Conspiracy.

(Arizona Dissed Xs 2)
As soon as the State of Arizona passed the illegal alien law, Obama jumped on it. He smelled a pick-up of Hispanic voters for the Democrat Party and in 2012 for his re-election campaign. Everything's political with this crowd in the WH..but they're winding up on the wrong side of the fence on this issue.

The last thing Obama and his campaign consultants wanted was a battle in Congress over immigration reform before the November midterms. Polls show that 60 something percent of the electorate favor the Arizona Law and stronger Federal enforcement of Immigration Laws plus control of the border FIRST. Amnesty which most Democrats favor is a dirty word to the rest of the country.

Obama announced that he'd be sending 1200 National Guard Troops to the border. This was an insulting political ploy after John McCain and Republicans asked the CIC at a WH luncheon for 6000 troops to secure the Southern Border. Here again, Obama under estimates the IQs of the American people. The 1200 troops are not authorized to capture and arrest illegals crossing the border, they're paper pushers, clerks and bottle washers sent there for political affect...a phoney deployment devised to quiet down the protestors on both sides.

This administration had the nerve to equate the Arizona Law with human rights violations in China of all places. Also, on a State visit, Felipe Calderon, President of Mexico, when addressing Congress said the Arizona Law "introduces a terrible idea using racial profiling as a basis for law enforcement." He got a standing ovation from the Democratic side...Republicans kept their seats...as they will in November.:)

(Sestak seduced by Clinton)
Months ago, Joe Sestak told the story of the WH asking him to get out of the Primary against Arlen Specter..the WH has been clearing the field for reliable Obama followers since this election year began. Here in NY the Chicago mob told Governor Paterson not to run for re-election and has openly meddled in NY's choice of candidates. So I'm not surprised by the Sestak bribe, however, if everything was on the up-and-up when Obama was asked about the PA Primary scam, why not simply answer the question? Instead, he announced that a statement would be released that would explain the matter.

Well it came as expected this Friday before a 3 day holiday...classic. The White House Counsel reviewed the Law and made sure that nothing incriminating would be said or written by anyone involved in the shady transaction. Bubba, Bill Clinton (Impeached for lying), made the offer to Sestak but was unable to seduce him with a "no compensation job on an advisory panel?" This scenario doesn't pass the smell test.

That said, for the Obama machine it's Mission Accomplished!..President protected..no high crime or misdemeanor. This affair could've been disposed months ago by a more ethical, transparent Administration and a less desperate President. In this case the cover-up is a lot worse and less believable than the crime, if any.

Primary Omen

Ominous results for Obama in today's primaries....the candidate that distanced him or herself from the President and his "transformational" policies..WON.

(Political opportunism isn't selling this year)

After embracing Specter's 60th vote (enabling health care to advance) and Obama's blackmail attempts failed to convince Sestak to clear the field for Arlen, Specter lost. Just when 80 year old Arlen needed the President's appeal and charm the most, Obama DID indeed distance himself from Specter. Most likely, after seeing the latest internal polls, Obama thought better of adding to his growing string of unsucessful endorsements.

Specter chose the worst year to be an incumbent Democrat..."I am not a loyal Democrat" lost with the full backing of the State and Federal Democratic establishment.

(PA 12th district-special election)

Republicans lost Murtha's seat. The winner, Democrat Mark Critz, was endorsed and visited by the "come back kid," Bill Clinton; besides that, his closing argument was: "I'm pro life, I'll stop government spending, I'm against Obamacare, I'll bring jobs home. Mark Critz D-PA is hardly an Obama fawner and definitely not a reliable democratic vote.

(A run-off for Blanche)

The only primary the LEFT can be proud of is Arkansas. Blanche Lincoln was challenged by the left of the Democrat Party, who've been peeved that Obama and Lincoln did not push for the Public Option in Obamacare. Since Blanche Lincoln did not manage to get 50% of the vote needed to win and Bill Halter, scored 44-42, enough to win him a run-off June 8th which he'll probably win; then, promptly lose to the Republican in November, because, Bill Halter is too liberal to win a statewide race in Arkansas, especially this year.

(Tea Party beats R-establishment)

Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) buried his opponent, Mitch McConnell's man, Trey Grayson, 59-35. Paul's acceptance speech saluted the Tea Partiers for their support and for getting the Republican vote out. Rand Paul reflected the mood of the nation when he exclaimed his reason for running and expressed the need for Party factions to unite in purpose to "Take back our Country!"

The Revolution starts in November. Discussion HERE.

NY:Bomb Scare

Where There's Smoke

If it wasn't for a Street Vendor who warned police of a car fire on Times Square, the crowds of people visiting the City Landmark could have been treated to a ticking bomb scenario...or was it? NY is full of gangs with a gripe....a BOMB is the least it would take to pry the MSM away from the breaking news on the Gulf Spill, AND, ON THEIR CAUSE...whatever that happens to be?

Every demonstrator from Jihadis to NY's small businesses (mayor's bike safe zones) are angry at some one doing business in New York City..they all want their 15 minutes of fame in the spotlight of the News Capitol of the World....so this cynical newyorker will keep her powder dry, atleast till we find out if the IED was armed or if it was...just a "smoking car"?

UPDATE: Faisal Shahzad, a naturalized American citizen from Pakistan, is the Times Square bomber. He trained in terror camps in Pakistan and received money from sources overseas. Arrests of other Pakistanis were made in the NY and other NE States.

Shahzad made his first appearance in court today, he didn't enter a plea to the terrorism charges...the others were arrested on Immigration violations.

Like It Is.....

AZ..."show us your papers."

Over-the-top reaction to the signing of the State's strict anti-illegal Law hit the air with this rant by Cardinal Roger Mahony; "I can't imagine Arizonans now reverting to German Nazi and Russian Communist Techniques." (And I thought the Tea Partiers had it bad?) Yeah, Hitler had a come back this week.

That said, all the law does is enforce Federal Immigration Laws already on the books. The Law makes it a state crime for aliens not to have immigration documents on their person. Police officers, after jumping through many just cause hoops, can ask for papers in the course of other police business..like traffic stops. Hardly draconian.

Financial Regulatory Bill

Dodd's Bill is filled with special interest loopholes and exclusions yet it claims to subject all "too big to fail" institutions to tough new regulations; in fact, far from protecting the little guy and sticking it to the fat cats, this bill keeps good, old fashioned political patronage alive and well.

Sachs-ploitation

This administration is stock full of Goldmen Sachs luminaries..Goldman contributed enormous sums of money to Obama's campaign; soooo, a "conflict of interest" between the WH and Goldmen Sachs, is not a stretch to surmise. In this climate, Goldman Sachs executives testified before Carl Levin's Senate panel..the result was more farce than discovery. The entire Senate panel showed a bipartisan commitment to poor manners and vacuous arrogance...when they didn't get the answers they went after, they insulted the witnesses.

Imposing regulation and taxes as punishment characterizes a forced transfer of power from private industry and free markets to government. The WH and much of Congress seem determined to punish success and wealth under the failed socialist theory, that IS..Obama's vision for the transformation of America.

Drill Baby Drill?

As the oil spill floats towards the coast of Louisiana, Obama is thanking his lucky stars for the opportunity to take back his only gift to Republicans this year, "off shore drilling." That tentative concession is on hold while Obama's Eco-nerds start writing restrictions for Big Bad Oil as they head for the mess in the Gulf of Mexico.

British Petroleum is responsible for the cost but because they had no back up plan to quickly and effectively stop and clean up a catastrophe of this magnitude...they've endangered the sensitive coastline of the Big Easy AND the drive to drill for demestic oil...BP has a valve that could've stopped the leak, but alas, for some unfathomable reason, this rig did not have a shut off valve, soooo, the pollution continues unabated for about 90 days.

This accident sets back the argument for domestic drilling of oil and gas. Without a doubt, US independence from foreign oil will be stymied as long as Obama is King.

VAT Chance?

The VAT is a type of national sales tax much like a Flat Tax, levied on the value added at each stage of production. If imposed without eliminating the existing Income Tax system, a VAT would finish the transformation of our Country into a European-style slow-growth nation.

If proponents wanted a VAT to replace the Internal Revenue code it could provide the revenues needed to reduce the exorbitant deficits and debt foisted on us by this reckless Democratic Administration. However, here's the rub...Obama and his crack economic team, would not only keep the Income Tax but raise taxes AND, on top of that, layer the taxpayers' burden with a European style VAT tax...PLUS keep on spending like there's no tomorrow!

That said, it would be a mistake for Republicans to dismiss a consumption based tax system too quickly. The VAT could result in fewer loopholes, a fairer tax system and increased revenues. Today's income tax code enables 50% of of taxpayers NOT to pay any tax at all which means that massive tax hikes are inevitable.

Bruce Bartlett, a former Reagan economic adviser, said the country's finances are in such dire shape, a VAT is the best option to move forward. (Is it?)

The VAT as proposed by this administration should be strongly opposed; however, in 2012 the Republican Party could offer to REPLACE the Income tax with a FLAT TAX, or VAT, in order to dig this Country out of this gigantic debt hole, promise to reduce spending, shrink the size of government and eventually balance the budget.

Today the public's anger over the horrifying government debt and oppressive growth of government might well signal the peoples' willingness to accept a bold NEW SOLUTION that won't involve class warfare or soaking the rich.

The elimination of the unpopular Internal Revenue System might be just the BIG IDEA Republicans need to win the presidency in 2012?

TREASURE and BLOOD

Before 2008 Republicans won seven of ten elections, and except for Bill Clinton, no Democrat since FDR won two terms. Republicans consistently convinced voters that Democrats could not be trusted with the most important responsibilities of the Presidency, namely, National Security and OUR MONEY.

($$$$$$)
During this Recession with exceptional foreclosures, drastically constricted consumer spending and horrific job losses, a quick, targeted shock of money by the Government is an unavoidable imperative. However, Obama's transformative, long term policies, i.e., health care, green energy and education, inserted into the Stimulus Spending Bill, absorbs most of the 787billion and provides little incentive for job creation and growth in the Private Sector; and WORSE, the spending accelerates over the long term for the expansion of these Government run programs, delays the recovery indefinitely and requires massive borrowing and unsustainable debt that will retard GDP for generations to come.

4/29/09 It took Obama 100 days to shrink GDP by 6.1%

(Obama's Bad Deal)
Furthermore, it doesn't take a Bean Counter to figure out who's been footing the bill for Obama's spending extravaganza or who will ultimately be paying down the debt in the form of huge and prolonged tax increases that siphon money from entrepreneurs and consumers, sentencing all of us to a deficit of prosperity never seen in this Country.

(D-CIC)
Iraq went on too long to keep the voters on board. Democrats used the public discontent to peal off moderate and independents in midterm elections giving them control of the House and Senate for Bush's last two years of his Second term. Obama's anti-war speech of 2002 was a key talking point in his campaign...he was anti-war and promised to withdraw the troops from Iraq in 12 weeks after he took office.

In fact, he's sensibly listening to his Generals who are older and wiser and will oversee a responsible troop drawdown. President Obama kept Robert Gates as Defense Secretary and appointed Gen. Jim Jones as his National Security adviser..he continued Bush policy Predator strikes in Pakistan and ordered more troops sent to Afghanistan.

That said, the Administration no longer calls two ongoing Wars "the War on Terror"..they're "overseas contingencies." He closed Gitmo without first deciding on an alternative option. Iran is still making a Nuclear Bomb in spite of Obama's solicitous video tape message. His Home Land Security Advisor, Janet Napalitano, released a report that implied Vets were "right wing extremists and potential domestic terrorists. She further showed her ignorance by saying that the 9/ll hijackers came from Canada.

Obama's travels to Europe and Latin America was an apology tour to boost his celebrity and to mollify the image of the USA, in that order. All the bowing, hand shaking and smiley faces accomplished nothing substantial...he didn't get more troops from NATO nor an advance on more Euros to stimulate the World Economy. He burnt his bridges with Sarkozy of France and other European leaders by endorsing Turkey's membership in the EU. N.Korea shot a missile off while Obama was talking No More Nukes. His approval ratings in Europe and in the Muslim World are contingent on his rhetorical disapproval of American history. Obama sees no evil, hears no evil, speaks no evil...he's oblivious to everything except his teleprompter on the World Stage.

When Obama came home and decided to release the Torture Memos to the public...Left Wing Democrats drooled at the prospect of hanging torture on top Bush officials and perhaps, Cheney himself. Cheney preempted the Inquisition by demanding the release of MORE memos to prove the information gleaned from the "harsh interrogation" worked and saved American lives. He called Ds bluff. Obama misjudged his authority over the radical lefties in Congress and Republicans are out for D-hypocrits' scalps. Let D-heads roll.

(Republican Rally)
The suggestion that Obama might support prosecutions and a congressional witch hunt could sap the morale of America's front line warriors and will paint him as naive on terrorism. If our nation is attackd on his watch after 8 years of safety under Republicans, his image as an ineffective CIC will be consistent with the public's notion of chronic weakness on National Security by the Democratic Party; and, bodes poorly for a second term for Obama and for maintaining Democratic majorities in 2010 and beyond.

S.ave O.ur S.hip

Callin Rush.-.-.-.-
The Chicago Mob, led by WH chief of staff Rahm Emanuel and the Clintonistas led by James Carvell have skillfully diverted Media attention from President Obama's plunge into the biggest debt hole ever laid on USA tax payers, ----->>> to the leading, if not loudest voice for millions of Conservatives on Talk Radio...Rush Limbaugh. Bulls-eye!!

[#1 on the Enemies List]
Did Rush fall for it? Did all us ditto heads get hooked like flounders? As MSNBC and CNN (to a lesser degree), open each political segment gleefully with the snit between the WH and Rush, Obama's attempts to transform America go UNchallenged and UNnoticed by the MSM and Cable Talking Heads. If we snooze, we'll wake up one day and our Country as we've known it, will be UNrecognizable.
IOW: CHANGE; signed, sealed and delivered.

While Rome Burns!!
Ofcourse Rush is making the most out of it; his ratings are through the roof. Does he realize he's being uuuuuused by the WH Mob? Maybe he's lapping up all the hype (as only Rush can do) but doesn't care that Obama's getting away with turning America into a soup kitchen franchised by the Government.

If millions more Americans are tuning into Rush, he should USE rather than BE USED. Focus on the resilient American spirit; focus on the achievements of the free individual; focus on WARNING the millions who listen each day about the intimidating perils to this Country if we allow domination by a Big Government ObamaNation.

SOS!!
Obama's steam rolling America, flattening the Country while Republicans fiddle with Rush. As we diddle, Rome Burns.

Over the Rainbow

(ObamaNation)
Yeah, yeah, the polls are tightening and McCain is tough in the trenches, a good closer. Palin has fired-up the base. All true, but reason demands recognition of and preparation for, a BIG-BAD-loss. Not just the Presidential slot but in local races across the nation. Hell!! According to the giddy talking heads and the MSM, November 4th could be a Blood Bath!! Egad!!..the end of the Conservative Revolution, the dismemberment of the Republican Party and, WORSE!!...the birth of LEFTYLAND.

(McCain Mutiny)
Colin Powell's hatchet job of McCain AND Sarah Palin was a low point for McCain, his supporters and the Republican Brand. Although Powell's Military Service is well regarded and his appointment as the First African American Secy of State was impressive, he has never been regarded by Conservatives as one of them.

That said, enlisting NBC, Tom Brokaw and using the millions of Sunday morning viewers of Meet the Press to dump his friend of 30 years for a neophyte Liberal Senator with absolutely no Military or Foreign policy experience, had to be a profoundly personal mission for the General.

Powell as a black American realizes the positive impact a black President would make on the Black Community. President Obama would be a transformational elixer for the psyche of Black Americans. For youth..."study hard and YOU can be President." For older blacks, like Powell who lived through the Civil Rights Movement...equality at long last and the fullfillment of "the Dream."

Other Republicans who've mutinied do not have the same fear that Left Wing skippers will sink the ship. Sooo, non-Conservative Republican defectors are positioning themselves for a four year tack of the Ship of State. The Republican Party is fractured...an Obama victory will not unify the Republican Party, but rather, the ideological divisions will become more acute. This election will be "transformative" for the Republican Party; either that, or we're headed for the wasteland for a generation .

(Three headed monster)
Have you noticed? The elevation of Barack Obama to a Presidential candidate has all black people walking tall. (It's a good thing) Almost 100% are voting for Obama. Ofcourse for them, it's a hypnotic historic election but make no mistake, their support for the Community Organizer is skin deep. Sadly, for Obama's opponents, a Center Right Country is poised to install a Liberal Left Wing government led by a malleable President Obama, no-bump Biden, and increased majorities in both Houses of Congress.

Q. Will Liberals succeed in transforming the electorate into government dependents, create a Welfare State?

A. It's not likely that the Left will deliver anything useful or satisfactory to independent minded Americans. The gimme folks? Another story.

(Better off in 2012?)
The Sunday papers were filled with dire predictions from the Right about the catastrophic results of Obama's tendency to appease rather than fight our enemies; and, the improbability that President Obama will take a uniquely American position contrary to the Europeans et al.

The "One" will govern by consensus, designed to please all and most importantly, get him re-elected in 2012.

Cynic that I am, Obama can't please all the people all the time. Governing by consensus for four years creates unhappy adversaries. Besides, a term of irksome equivocation and the inability to make decisions for the betterment of the Country absent consideration of HIS own political advantage, promises to be fertile grounds for Republicans.

Q. Can Obama triangulate like the master, Clinton? Will the extreme left wing leaders of the Democratic Party let him?

(Palinistas)
A Reaganesque happy warrior, Sarah Palin is a bright spot for the Republican Party. A staunch Conservative that lives her ideology; she delivers the tough love message with a smile and great legs...she connects with Joe the plumbers everywhere. Sarah is an unapologetic true believer...god, guns, a champion for the common man and WOMAN.

Liberals, feminists especially, loathe her and the Media mocks her small town ways. Elitist criticism bodes well for Sarah.

She's the Real Thing...R-winner in 2008.

Conventional Wisdom

_______________
Republicans

It's All in the Game

(Raising McCain)
#1 beat expectations with an acceptance speech that oozed with devotion to Country and demonstrated the character and life experience of John McCain.

Q. Why do you want to be President?
A. Country First. That's the message.

(Game Winner)
The tintillating rollout of Sarah Palin for his running mate, completely stunned old & young pols alike..a Hail Mary Pass that worked...a game changer. After Palin's Reaganesque delivery electrified all Wednesday night, 40 million people tuned-in Thursday night to watch McCain's speech.

McCain's bold selection of the gun-toting Mama from Wasilla gloriously beat expectations. It dazzled and stunned the punditree, Network News anchors, Cable TV's talking heads...a pack of reporters scampered off to Wasilla Alaska to get the story.

Picking a small town "Annie getchyer-gun" has ignited every constituency that Big O can't seem to sign-up for his left wing "Change" agenda that re-defines Americanism.

(End Game)
The First decision by R-Presidential Candidate was brilliant....The teaming of two reform minded, traditional Americans has excited voters of every stripe; and, miraculously swiped the spotlight from the One. Obama talks a good game, but can he make it so? McCain and Palin both have proven records that they can and do deliver on their promises.

McCain's strategic judgement far surpasses Obama's safe bet of a Washington insider, no-bump Biden. So far after both Conventions, polls are tied; Big BUT...moving toward R-team. There's something happening in the Heartland, the Rust Belt, the Bread Basket, the old West...from sea to shining sea...talk IS...it's all good for the USA.

[McCain/Palin] YES WE CAN!!!

(That's the ticket)
McCain et al did a masterful job stepping on Obama's acceptance speech by instigating speculation about when and who he'll pick for a running mate. All the breathless talk this morning was about the #2 on the McCain ticket, little on the "ONE. "

A few hours ago McCain ended the speculation with a brilliant and gutsy choice...a woman extrodinaire...Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska will take the stage in Ohio today with R-man McCain.

Read all about her!! She won't dissappoint any Republican faction, but the Democrats are quick to hammer her on anything they can find...prepare to defend the little lady. I'm kidding, Sarah the barricuda, is armed and dangerous.

Go Girl!!

_____________
Democrats

(Sermon on the Mount)

Am I blue? Hell no..but Obama's depiction of America stepped on reality and history..not everyone is living in the gutter or in depressing Liberal America?

What about all the people that have a job, don't have a sub-prime mortgage, are not on the brink of foreclusure or bankruptcy, have health insurance and are happier and richer than people anywhere else in the world....Obama and his ilk want successful Americans to pay for underachievers by taxing everything we have...it's class warfare disguised as pseudo-compassion for the poor...He and his ilk see this country from the vantage point of a government dependent, psychologically victimized minority.

The "One" is after Big Oil and any business that makes a profit...there's no gratitude for employing thousands of people, providing services that enrich our lives or for the forward looking scientific creativity that keeps the USA competive in the Global Jungle.

This is no time to hamstring our Businesses, Investors and people...it's time to set us free to innovate a better future...it's time to let the positive American spirit soar to new heights...but no, Obama and his ilk plan to break the American spirit with regulation and government interference in every aspect of our lives.

Obama's speech wreaks with the smell of dispair and defeat...WHERE'S THE HOPE? An Obama administration would be disasterous to the economic growth and cherished sovereignty of the United States...he and his ilk will make us citizens of the world, slaves to international standards of morality and justice...puppets of the World? Americans lost.

(The BO choral)
The Clintons managed to monopolize the first three days of the faux-unified venue in Colorado. With oratory that thrust pseudo-compliments into their successor-in-chief, Barack Obama, both Clintons appeared magnanimous.

(Clintonesque)
Bill, after hitting on every government give-a-way that comforts middle class democrats and sharing the love with thousands of his adoring fans, the comiserator-in-chief, promised that Barack Obama would reach for clinton's stars and deliver the same things. Downer if he's not as experienced with a partisan Congress?....hmmm, Bill put Barry on the spot.

Hmmm..where to begin...

(The Main Event)
After a long primary battle Barack Obama barely beat Hillary Clinton..it went down to the wire. In typical Clintonesque fashion, Hillary had to be hooked off the stage by antsy delegates, nervous Party leaders and Media types gasping for space in the tank for the first black candidate for President.

(D-split)
And what a candidate he is!!! The Democrats have got themselves another tax and spend elite Liberal that wants to tax businesses for making too much profit. (The Republicans defeated the Windfall Profits Tax on Oil Companies today).

Barack wants to spend billions bailing out sub prime foreclosures; billions on health care; billions on government programs for underachievers. He'll pay for all these goodies by taxing businesses and citizens to the max. He'll force businesses to out-source jobs and we'll all have less money in our pockets...the Democrats even want to regulate speculation? They're control freaks.

But hey, this Liberal appeals to the African American community because of the color of his skin. It's historic!! 90% are chanting "Yes we can!!" Yes, he's got more than one minority in the bag; the snooty, highly educated, limo libs and the young know-nothing college students have got Obamamania too.

But what of the rest of the Democratic Party? Hillary's 18 million....older democratic women, white men, Reagan Democrats, blue collar workers without a college degree, Hispanics? Many of them say they'll vote for McCain or stay home. If Barack can't sway those folks to vote for him and McCain gets even a small percentage of them...Hillary will be singing, "I told you so." The lady has a point.

(Bad Buds)
Jermiah Wright, Michael Pfleger, William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, plus tried and convicted scam artist, Tony Rezko, have been long time friends of Barack Obama. One by one Obama's been forced to "distance" himself from all of them. Failing miserably (IMO) to give a believable explanation for WHY he's the only person in Chicago who wasn't aware of Pastor Wright's positions on whitey or our Government's conspiracy to wipe out black people by infecting them with AIDS.

Was he deaf and blind for the 20 years he attended Trinity United Church? Instead he gave a high-brow lecture on race relations in America, threw his white grandmother under the bus for making fearful remarks against young black stalkers but persisted in the denial....he had ever heard those infamous remarks from his mentor Pastor Wright. "God Damn America!!"

His other cronies leave even more doubts about Obama's choice of friends, and worse, his true feelings about America. Pundits are backing him up by claiming political expediency by a young unknown on the Chicago streets. Maybe, but for 20 years? His wife's remarks about being proud of America for the first time combined with his guns and god rap on white middle class men fuels the worst suspicions.

Will white Americans be tarred with inbred racism under a black President? Will we have to pay reparations of a sort for past slights of the black man? Will affirmative action be the preferred course in an Obama administration? Is that what all the Zombies mean by "change"?

(Salute/CIC)
The more I know about Barack Obama the less I like him. He's a neophyte on Foreign Policy and uncomfortable with all things Military. His rhetoric defines him as an appeaser, someone too eager to negotiate with terrorists and the states that sponsor them. He knows little about the daily progress in Iraq, hasn't been there in two years, isn't interested in talking to General Petraeus and yet he claims that Iraq is already lost, an unredeemable quagmire. It's not.

McCain who had been critical of the war and Rumsfeld proposed a Surge Strategy on Jan. 5, 2007 based on conversations with commanders on the ground in Iraq. It was a politically risky approach but he believed it would lead to victory; and we all know McCain never gives up. Obama presented the "Iraq De-Escalation Act" Jan. 30, 2007 based solely on the advice of a skeptical Gen. Abizaid..one of the "light foot print" Generals whose strategy had failed for four years. Barack wanted to quit.

Bush ordered the Surge. US forces partnered with Iraqi troops helping them "hold" areas that they'd jointly "cleared." The extra brigade of US Marines led to the Anbar Awakening which spread through Central Iraq. Sectarian violence stopped; Al Qaeda was defeated; Sadr City was cleared of illegal Militias; US casualties were the lowest of the War last month; political progress is afoot; Maliki's government passed almost all of the "benchmarks." Iraq is close, very close to being a secure Democracy.

If Obama's ACT was adopted, the popular and politically safe route would have led to an unnecessary American defeat in Iraq and empowered Al Qaeda; but ofcourse, Barack Obama would not have won the Primary if he had put the success of American forces ahead of his own.

(A Dream realized)
Obama won an historic primary, but he may not be able to convince "can do" Americans that he's the right man for the job. McCain, Cap and Trade aside, is one of us, a man whose love of America is clear and his #1 priority is to keep all of us safe. After all is said and done..isn't that why the majority of Americans elect their President?

Pennsylvania Primary

(She's Alive!!)
Yup, Hillary defied "conventional wisdom" again, i.e., Cable pundits, the MSM and most opinion journalists (including the NYT) that declared her continued efforts futile and demanded she give up for the good of Party unity, were proven WRONG AGAIN by the voters of Pennsylvania.

(In a Nut-Shell)
Obama won the city Philadelphia and a few of it's surrounding towns...the rest of the State went heavily for Clinton, giving her a win of 10% points or about 200,000 votes. Blacks and young newly registered first time voters went for Obama; white blue collar men, older women, seniors and most voters earning under $50 thousand per annum backed Hillary with impressive numbers. Barack Obama did NOT close the deal in PA.

Onward!! Obama gave his congrats to Clinton in Indiana. Hillary found her voice in Philly: "Because of you, the tide is turning."

(The Steelers)
Clinton's operatives immediately laid out a Plan B, *Big State Strategy.* In other words, convince the SuperDelegates that since Hillary has shown the ability to win in all the Big Blue States that Democrats need to win enough Electoral College votes to beat John McCain in November, they should ignore the rules and Obama's delegate lead and select Hillary Clinton as the Nominee. Afterall, the caucus States that Barack won, mostly will go Republican anyway and really don't fully represent ALL Democrats in those States or the Country. Furthermore, there's Florida and Michigan where Hillary DID win the popular vote even if those votes don't count. Sound reasonable?

(End Game)
That's the argument and it's a logical one; however, there's one glaring problem for the Democrats. Obama supporters, mainly the reliable black Base and the snooty Liberal intelligentsia will be furious with Hillary and the Democratic Party for stealing the nomination from their Great Black Hope. Most likely, R-man McCain will benefit from the millions of disheartened, disgruntled, disenfranchised Obamamaniacs who WON'T VOTE at all on Election Day 2008.

Once again, the Democratic Party will defeat themselves in a year that all the stars are aligned in their favor.

21st Democratic Debate in Philadelphia

The moderators, ABC's Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopolus, both must've decided to get even for the hits on reporters for giving Obama a free ride. All Obama-gates were front and center...the smooth talker was on the defensive for 50 minutes; and Hillary was all too pleased to stick it to him with relish.

(Bitter-gate)
Obama side stepped the crux of the insulting put-down..he explained, people ARE frustrated and since he's a man of faith(Rev.Wright?) why would he belittle the faith of small town Americans? He mumbled something about sportsman go hunting because their grandfathers and fathers did and it's a tradition they can count on. Unlike the government, I might add.

Hillary chanelled her Scranton creds and insinuated that Obama was insensitive to the cultural issues that are important to folks everywhere except in the elitist big cities like SanFranciso...her campaign has rightfully suggested that this is why democrats like Kerry, Gore and others were not electable; the theme that will surely be used by the Republican "attack machine" in the General Election. Hmmmm, superdelegates take note?

(Birds-of-a-feather-gate)
Rev.Wright: Obama repeated his objections to the anti-American tirade but insisted that the Unity Church did a lot of good works for the people of Chicago. On anti-semite Farrakhan, he tried to comfort Jewish voters by affirming his support for Israel and promising to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons by using every diplomatic power of the Presidency to convince Ahmadinejad the change his ways. Tsk, tsk..naughty boy.

William Ayers, the radical Weather Man who wished he'd bombed more buildings and killed more people; the man that held a fundraiser in his home for Barack? Phui, said Obama, that was 40 years ago, I was eight..Lahdeedah.

Hillary reminded us she would have left the Pastor and not valued his advice for 20 years. Farrakhan is an avowed anti-semite, Israel is our ally and she'd go further than Barack...she'd put the whole Middle East under an umbrella of protection..if Iran became nuclear and attacked Israel...all the Middle East would be covered by US massive military retaliation. This from the woman who'll start withdrawal from Iraq on day one...why don't we finish off Iran in Iraq, bomb the camps and show them we mean business without starting an all out war or waiting till they threaten the World with a Nuclear Bomb? I digress.

On the William Ayers association, Hillary said it was a fair question because a presidential candidate had to be vetted like she'd been for 20 years. Obama fired back with a reminder that Bill Clinton pardoned the FALN terrorists which was much worse than being friends with a reformed terrorist. Thanks for the memories.

(Read their Lips)
Both of the Democrats made a tax pledge not to raise taxes on the middle class..for Hillary that's people who make under $250,000, same for Obama...they both lied.

How can they spend billions on government entitlements like Universal Health Care, College Loans, massive bailouts and other stuff that Liberals love and PROMISE not raise taxes?

Both plan to raise Capital Gains..Hillary 20%, Obama's on record for 28%...now, it's proven that revenue is higher if Capital Gains is lower..so there will be less money to spend on government programs. Where are they going to get money?

More pander..both said they'll CUT taxes for the middle class but neither will renew the Bush Tax Cuts. Hello marriage penalty and goodby increased child credits. Obama said he'd lower payroll taxes. Doesn't that go into Social Security which is about to go bankrupt? Democrats' tax fiascos never add up...every tax payer will be paying through the nose if either one of them wins the WH.

That IS the only thing about these two you can count on. Woezze US.

(Defining Obama)
Obama and his spellbound groupies noted that last night's debate focused on "insignificant" gaffes and foibles and little on the policies that would save us from 8 years of Bush and 4 more of the same with McCain.

However, when an inexperienced, practically unknown phenom is running for President, the first thing required by a skilled politician, like Hillary or the Media, is to define that person for the electorate. Obama's associations have a disturbing pattern...too many of them hate America and one that we know of, actually targeted the Pentagon, Police Stations and the White House with bombs; but because that was 40 years ago, that shouldn't reflect on him? His 20 year friendship with an anti-American racist Pastor, who's still spewing hate-whitey from the pulpet, doesn't reflect on Barack Obama?

It makes me wonder if we want a President who welcomes these characters into his inner circle. He values relationships with extremists who express deep rooted, distorted views of American people, our Government and our history....he forgives and forgets and sees good in these generally offensive psychos; either that or he's willfully blind to unrepentent dissidents? How will his associations affect the "change" he envisions for America? By his friends, you will know him?

RACE FATIGUE

What did you think about the speech? Discussion here.

Today Barack Obama gave a lofty lecture on the state of race relations in America; stemming from the day of the founders, recounting their failure to address the "original sin of slavery," through the decades of discrimination and civil rights crusades, to the tirades of hate America sermons from his spiritual advisor, Pastor Jerimiah Wright.

(Sunday School)
Does anyone see the irony of this condemnation of racism in America? Barack Obama is the Democratic front runner for the Presidency, for gods sake!! Granted, he was forced to answer criticism about his 20 year friendship with a black separatist preacher who blamed America for the attack on 9/ll (the chickens came home to rooste); and, charged that our Government infected the urban black community with HIV. Is any of that about racism? NO..those rants could be likened to Left-Wing anti-American conspiracy theories.

(Black&White History)
Obama implied that all of us have heard offensive remarks from the pulpit; WRONG. If my priest ever cursed America he'd be gone. It's become evident that black Americans dance to different drummer...they don't respect the founding fathers of this nation the way whites do. Coincidentally, David McCollough's JOHN ADAMS aired this weekend. Tom Hanks produced the seven part series and it was carefully produced to instruct today's history deprived younger citizens about the wonder of our fight for independence, the men who formed our Country and wrote the glorious Constitution.

All Obama had to say about "we the people" is that they allowed slavery for profit to continue and that's the reason blacks have less fond regard for American history. Will President Barack Obama spend much of his term fixing the perceived wrongs done to the black man since the beginning of America? Is that what he means by the "urgency of now"..by "CHANGE?"

(Here come de Judge)
Did this speech put the pastor gaff behind him? No..Obama used his "famous judgement" to make his self-defense grander; to address how black and white America feel about each other. Maybe it was courageous to focus on the taboo issue of race that couldn't help to further his ambition for high office; nor, assuage the doubts of white working men in Pennsylvania or the rest of the Country who really don't want to talk about race throughout this long Primary nor into the campaign for President ...it's tiresome.

(The woman's touch)
Smartly Hillary Clinton has nothing to add on the topic...she's serving the voters easy to digest comfort foods to put on their kitchen tables; end the war in Iraq, fight terrorism, save the economy for the middle class, improve public school education, universal health care, all the old stand-bys...home made recipes, good for the American soul.

March 4th...Primary Colors

Last night the Republican Party nomination was settled early. John McCain handily captured all four States, Vermont, Road Island, Ohio and Texas, resulting in Mike Huckabee's concession and heart felt endorsement of R-winner.

(Color Blind)
The rousing upset in the Democratic Primary astonished the pundits and media critics who up until this weekend were shamefully (as noted by SNL) in the tank for the SuperNova, Barack Obama. Once again, Hillary Clinton shocked the politeratti entranced by Obamamania with a stiff dose of reality. She fought hard against the spinning Media rip-tide to win three out of the four contests, Road Island, Ohio and Texas. Hooray! Go Girl!!

The prognosis for Clinton's demise was grim. Obama seemed to be coasting to another good day when Clinton conjured the "kitchen-sink" strategy and laid negative snipes on Barack which affected the Primary voters in all three States.

The Canadian memo surfaced which cast doubt on his promise to cancel NAFTA; the "3AM Ad" which questioned his abilities as CIC; combine that with the merky Muslim picture, anti-white Pastor, anti-American wife and Farrakhan-anti-Jewish smears, Clinton won white voters of every demographic. Namely, High School grads, blue collar/union workers, rich college educated white men, older women, Latinos; and most of the last minute undecideds went for Clinton in all three States. The negative hits on Obama clearly took him down a peg...expect more of the same as the race approaches Pennsylvania.

(Primarily anti-Democratic)
Neither candidate can win enough delegates in the complicated proportional system of primaries and caucuses to reach the number required to be the Democratic Nominee; therefore, it's inevitable that SuperDelegates will have to over-ride the decision of either Obama or Clinton supporters triggering a back-lash from the loser.

To add to the mess, today the DNC is meeting with the Governors of Florida and Michigan to figure out a way to seat their delegates at the convention that would satisfy both candidates. If a solution is not found, teams of lawyers for Obama, Clinton and the DNC are ready to put on a show that will rival the 2000 Florida debacle.

After all is said and done, the SuperDelegates will either go with their own prejudices, State constituents, or the National momentum; but in doing so, risk the continued participation of black mimorities in the Democratic Party or the rath of whites and the Clintonian establishment. No matter what, the Democratic Party will split...there's just no way around it.

In a year that should have been a horror for the Republican Party this seemingly endless infighting between the myriad of special interests in the Democratic Party and the Establishment is making John McCain more and more likely to be the next President of the United States.

Doesn't get any better than this...can't make it up.:-)<

The 20th Debate...and the winner is?

What a horrifying experience!! Bleeding heart Liberal excuses for losers; big government solutions and bailouts for millions of irresponsible gimme folks. Neither Democrat sees America as the land of plenty but full of needy people unable to survive without Hillary or Barack's rescue packages. What Country do they live in?

Conservatives of every stripe, Republicans, Democrats and Independents, capable, independent Americans had to be thinking...this is why a Liberal never wins the Presidency. They always assume voters will gladly pay for the mistakes and poor choices of their fellow citizens by digging deep into their pockets for expensive Government Programs, i.e. huge tax increases? Alas, Liberals always get it so wrong.

(CICs run amok)
Half way through the questions and answers, you could hear voting machines ringing for John McCain. The Democrats outlined his campaign for him, LESS IS BEST. Less spending, less taxes, less government regulation of business, trade and the people. A strong, experienced CIC who'll win the Iraq war NOW so we don't have to go back to save the Iraqis and fight Al Qaeda all over again. When Obama was asked by Tim Russert; "What if we withdraw as you suggest and Al Qaeda returns and makes Iraq a haven to plot against the USA? Would you send the troops back? Trapped, he had to say: Yes, as President, I would have to protect the American people. Soooo, isn't it a mistake to quit NOW? Isn't he and Hillary WRONG!!

In 2001 Obama gave a speech condemning the Iraq invasion but when he was elected to the Senate and given a chairmanship on the oversight Committee for Afghanistan, he didn't call ONE hearing to determine if NATO and the US were doing everything possible to succeed. Is that the good judgement he claims will make him a better CIC than Hillary or McCain? He was barely settled in the Senate when he started to run for President. Was he ready to be a Senator? Certainly NOT ready to be President and CIC.

Hillary voted for the Iraq Resolution but last night said she regretted her vote. She sounded very much like John Kerry who voted for it before he voted against it? Is SHE ready to stick to her guns from day ONE? Neither Democratic candidate is qualified to be CIC in time of War or when terrorists are threatening to kill us all. John McCain IS.

(Poor Diagnosis)
Both Democrats spent 20 minutes debating Universal Health Care..it was scary. Hillary's is mandated with enforcement provisions, even young healthy folks must get it. It's Hillary Care deja vu..and we know how that worked out in 1993? Obama's is voluntary but with government subsidies for those who can't afford the bargain basement prices. Their proposed Health Care programs alone will cost the tax payers an estimated 3 trillion dollars. America can not afford Universal Health Care...it will never materialize but Liberals keep banging the drum in vain.

(No place like Home)
Obama's bailout plan (Stop Fraud Act) for sub-prime losers threatens lenders with fines and prison and lets bankruptcy judges tear up the contracts and write new ones. Anything that increases the risk of loan losses increases interest rates. If mortgages are rewritten by judicial fiat, nullifying a contract between two private entities, mortgage loans become scarce and available only to those with high income and perfect credit. This means that redlining, will be business as usual; i.e., low income folks won't be able to buy homes.

Hillary's help is more heavy handed, a 90 day moratorium on subprime foreclosures thus giving select beneficiaries three months of rent free living. She also wants to dictate an automatic freeze for interest rates on subprime mortages keeping rates below market introductory rates for at least 5 years. Not only is that UNconstitutional but it's a terrible solution that will do more harm than good to the housing market.

Senators should stay out of the PRIVATE economy. Let the private sector..lenders and borrowers..take the hit for their own greedy speculations. Let lenders loan money only to those who can pay and let borrowers learn how to read a contract before they sign it, and understand that an ADJUSTABLE rate mortgage will ADJUST and a FIXED mortgage rate will NOT.

(The Audacity of Hope)
John McCain is achieving what Hillary has failed to do, taking Barack Obama to task on his utter lack of experience and scant qualifications to be President and CIC. With unexpected help from Conservative talk radio denizens, that hit Obamamania on anti-white and Muslim religious connections, weakness on National Security and support from anti-semite, Louis Farrakhan, McCain while cleverly distancing himself from RW low blows to the hysterical Barack phenominon, is gaining popularity with conservative to centrist Americans who recoil at the thought of Left Wing Progressives interfering in every aspect of their private lives, taxing them into poverty and effectively doing it to them from the White House.

Polls show McCain beating either Hillary or Obama nationally. Even the most skeptical about R-chances have got see the possibility of John McCain, the most experienced, authentic, Republican Maverick becoming the next President of the United States.

(Firing Line)
William F. Buckley died today while writing his last column at his desk in his home in Connecticut. When I was growing up in Brooklyn, New York and becoming aware politically, my father and I would watch the conservative icon on the PBS show Firing Line.

At that time Liberals were dominant; Conservatives were an oddity and not considered as intellectual as Harvard educated Liberals. On the show, Buckley, a word-meister extraordinaire, would take on a know it all Liberal and teach him a few things about the English language if not Conservatism. He introduced me to a new kind of politics and forced me to use a dictionary.

Buckley wrote 56 books and thousands of columns; he founded the National Review and loved to sail..he never wasted a day of his life..he lived a consequential life worth remembering.

New York Times Smears McCain

Just as McCain locked up the Republican Nomination in Wisconsin and Washington, the New York Times revived a tired old Drudge story from December and placed the stinker on the FIRST PAGE. All day juicy allegations of legislative favors for sex occupied Cable TV and the Blogosphere non-stop.

(Context)
The Times published an anonymous smear by two "former associates" of dubious origin who think, the Senator when he was chairman of the Commerce Committee, was seeing too much of a cutie lobbyist, Vicki Iseman. His close advisers felt that the relationship might conjure the appearance of impropriety; soooo, in order to save McCain from himself, John Weaver, McCain's former campaign strategist, sat Ms.Iseman down and asked her to back off.

(Response)
At a press conference today at 9 AM, McCain and his wife Cindy denied it all and injected the appropriate sound bites into the Media feeding frenzy. His lawyer Bob Bennet, his current top strategists, Conservative talk show hosts; particularly Rush and Sean Hannity and alumni from the busride in 2000, now TV personalities, defended their man McCain. Afterall, the swooners were with him almost every minute, if a pretty blonde lobbyist was hanging around flaunting her favors, wouldn't one of the reporters have noticed it?

(Motive)
Thanks to another article that came out today by the New Republic, the attack has morphed into an analysis of the journalistic ethics of the New York Times. The New Republic discusses the turmoil within the NYT over releasing the story. Even though this story is generally discounted, if any of it is proven true or if McCain's denials are false, it taints the reputation of the ear mark hawk beyond repair. "The Sheriff" who prides himself on rejecting the powerful influence of lobbyists on the governing body will be tagged as a hypocrite and his hopes to Win the WH for the GOP will be destroyed.

(On the other hand)
His battle with the NYT has forced every Conservative radio talker to defend McCain against the liberal paper of record; "the enemy of my enemy is my friend?" Being smeared by the NYT is a badge of honor among Conservatives.

Now that the "media darling" has been victimized by the Liberal rag, every Conservative who's been savaging McCain up to now is circling the wagons, yelling over the air waves to anyone who'll listen::"WE told you so."

(Time's on R-side)
Rallying the base for McCain seemed like mission impossible; but the NYT has done what no moderate voice could do...United the RW to rescue McCain and rally them to fight loud and hard against a "common enemy."

(Oldies but goodies)
Well it's always a good day for the GOP when all the air is sucked out of the 24/7 news cycle by a fairy tale about a 72 year old Republican having an affair with a younger woman. Sheeesh...You can't make this stuff up?:)<
